Supervision and control/command of a space vacuum simulator
The goal of this project was to provide a control/command system for the calibration station's Jupiter space simulator at the Institute of Astrophysics at Orsay, France.
The aim of this solution was to utilise, manually or semi-automatically and in a secure environment, the different modes of pumping and heat control necessary to carry out tests on this type of equipment (exacting-condition instruments for balloons or for the vacuum of space).
Styrel supplied nine sub-assemblies (electrical cabinets) incorporating NI CompactRIO hardware to manage, power and ensure the security of the pumping equipment using LabVIEW (Standard version, RT and FPGA).
